Our students were recently treated to an exciting and unforgettable presentation from Mr. Tom Varano of Emotion Into Art. Combining art, storytelling, music and audience participation, Mr. Varano brought history and some of our favorite fictional characters to life.
Throughout the presentation, Mr. Varano created several amazing paintings while sharing stories and messages connected to each work of art. Students watched in amazement as paintings of Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Michael Jackson, Paw Patrol and The Lion King came to life on the canvas.
Each painting provided an opportunity for students to learn, think and make connections. The stories behind the artwork made the presentation both educational and entertaining, showing students how art can be used to tell powerful stories and bring people together.
But the fun didn't stop with the paintings! Mr. Varano kept the students engaged throughout the entire presentation by giving away prizes, challenging students to a dance-off and encouraging everyone to participate. There was plenty of laughter, excitement and enthusiasm throughout the event.
The presentation was a wonderful reminder that learning can happen in many different ways. Through art, music, storytelling and participation, Mr. Varano created an experience that our students will remember for a long time.
