Hughes Elementary takes Fall Field Trip to Savicki’s Farm Market

Fall was in full swing as Hughes Elementary’s youngest students headed out for an autumn field trip to Savicki’s Farm Market in Clinton on Sept. 28!

Students got to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the trip, from taking a tractor-pulled hayride across the farm and picking out their own pumpkin to navigating the twisting paths of the corn maze, participating in a hands-on sunflower activity and burning off energy running, climbing and playing in the farm's play area.

Field trips like this do more than create great memories—they help our youngest learners connect classroom lessons about plant lifecycles, seasons and local agriculture to the real world around them.

A big thank-you to the staff at Savicki’s Farm Market, as well as our teachers, parent chaperones and bus drivers, for making the day run so smoothly!
